The main activity of the DISENP laboratory in the reporting year was to support the educational process by researching new information technologies and implementing progressive design and technological solutions in the following areas:
- introducing new information resources into the educational process of the educational and scientific institute, mathematics and information technologies.
- searching for ways to automatically control the process of turning on computers during power outages;
- implementing a backup power system to support the Internet connection for all structural units in the city of Myrhorod.
In the face of a constant increase in the number of cyberattacks, laboratory employees carried out a number of measures aimed at increasing the protection of the information environment in the city of Myrhorod by setting up a Firewall on threshold devices, setting up access to the local network, and improving local network routing.
During the current year, work continued on setting up software to support the educational process:
- the first version of the NNIMIT website was created;
- the work of the servers of the MIT NNI was reconfigured
- the work of the clustering system was configured;
- an analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of the virtual machine migration system using Vmware DRS was conducted;
- new approaches to configuring the port equipment were implemented to improve the information security system.
The laboratory staff, in close cooperation with the departments of the MIT NN and the IT Solutions Center, took an active part in the completion of 2 international grants:
- project G-202301-69860 – Integration of new Cybersecurity course into the Curriculum of the State Institution “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University;
- project No. 4019-08 within the framework of the agreement ENI/2018/398-605 – EU Support for Eastern Ukraine – Restoration, Peacebuilding and Governance.
In order to increase the efficiency of using modern information resources of the NNI MIT in a blended learning environment, the laboratory staff conducted several seminars for students and undergraduates of all specialties of the NNI MIT who entered the Taras Shevchenko National University of Lviv. All first- and second-year students and undergraduates received personal usernames and passwords for additional access to virtual information resources for performing laboratory work on computer technology.
